With CD sales drowning and illegal downloading happening on almost every computer in the US, the music industry has began to look to a new, but classic, avenue to generate revenue, the LP aka vinyl aka record. I have been purchasing records for about two years, and I believe they are the way to listen to music inside ones home. You become your very own DJ, but scratch those vinyls at your own risk. There are a variety of places to find vinyl from thrift stores to online shops to your local music store.
Today, I received my Vestax Portable/Turntable from Turntable Lab. This turntable is perfect for around the house listening and even beyond. It can be battery operated or plugged in, speakers are not necessary, it can be covered and secured for travel, and the pitch, tone, and volume controls are easy to handle. The design is simple and small so it can be packed away to store or become a great accessory for a side table or bedroom.

hard candy:
if you thought ellen page was good in juno, you’ll be blown away with her performance in hard candy. she plays a 14 year old that sets up an online sex perv and holds him hostage. she’s so believable and glorious. look into it.

factory girl:
i know it took me forever to see this movie. i heard that is was amazing from some and horrible from other people, but i believe it was awesome. nice work sienna miller and guy pearce. i automatically wanted to jump into NYC during the factory days.

congrats to mr. piven on his supporting role golden globe award.
